If you know a child is being harmed right now or is in immediate danger, act immediately. Report to authorities who are not involved in the abuse:
Say: "A child is in immediate danger and needs protection."
Go directly to a police station to report child abuse. Do not report to anyone who might be involved.
Find your local children's services or call the council main number
Report in person if possible - it's harder to ignore or cover up
Contact independent safeguarding charities who can guide you and advocate for the child. Parents have been arrested for trying to protect their own children.
Call NSPCC, Childline, or local child protection charities - they can intervene if police or social services are compromised
If you must act immediately, involve multiple trusted adults as witnesses and contact charities for guidance first. Document everything. Get witnesses. Contact multiple agencies. Don't let them ignore you or threaten you into silence.
